Heart of an Encourager

I've created a booklet entitled "Heart of An Encourager". Before I publish, I'd like to get your input on what you feel is important when you need encouragement. ~Blessings and peace. . .

  1. I like that as the blog title too. Very nice. But to answer your question, I'd say that honesty is important when I need encouragement. There's nothing worse than having "friends" who will encourage you by telling you what they think you want to hear instead of telling you what you need to hear.

  3. I value honesty and the wisdom of an experienced encourager. It's wonderful to be encouraged by someone who's been where you are and have learned life's lessons - either 1st, 2nd or the 3rd time around. And I love an encourager who can listen, advise, correct, or comfort with discernment from the Holy Spirit, at the appropriate time.

  4. Consistency is important. Someone who encourages should not be easily swayed by the opinions of others. It is important that the encourager stands firmly of the Word of God.

  5. Thanks Wanda & Lady Locs - i highly value your input and appreciate you taking the time. My goal is to begin opening the blog up to women all over to create a forum of support and direction. I want all to 'make it in with victory'. . .literally RUNNING their race with endurance and joy! Love you.

  6. Love, love for the person who is being encouraged and love for God. A person who loves God as master, not just as someone who talks to His when it's convenient.

  7. I agree that honesty and wisdom are important factors and play key roles when encouraging someone, but sincerity is important to me. Being encouraged by the virtue of a persons true feelings or thoughts has always impacted my life and uplifted my emotions.
Genuine encouragement is not done with intention to shame but to encourage spiritually with authentic love, truth, and inspired growth.
